Quality - only the best
Pickford Studios prides itself on the quality of its products.
Before sending artwork for printing, it is scrupulously digitally ‘cleaned', as part of an intensive quality-control process, to remove all blemishes. This guarantees the best possible quality when the artwork is enlarged and printed.
All of our prints are produced using the ‘giclee’ process – arguably the highest quality digital printing method available, providing better colour accuracy than any other means of print production. Images are generated from high-resolution digital scans and printed with archival-quality inks. The paper on which the artwork is printed is also of the highest grade containing Hahnemuhle substrates. These papers can meet, and even exceed, museum standards for fine art digital papers.
Pickford Studios does not normally frame prints in order to reduce the product, packaging and postal costs and to give you the flexibility of choosing a frame that matches the décor of the room in which the print is to be exhibited. To make framing as easy as possible for you, all prints come with a mount made from Daler Rowney 1.4mm mount board and a backing board. The overall size of the mounted print is 20 inches by 24 inches - a standard picture frame size. Each print has a printed area of 20 inches by 16 inches. If, however, you would like us to frame the print you have purchased, please send us a message using the 'Contact Us' button on the website, as soon as your order has been accepted. Please state any preferences you have (e.g. colour, material, size of frame) and we will be happy to provide you with a quote for framing and additional postage costs.
We ensure that our products are securely packaged to protect them during transit to you. However, if a product arrives with you in less than perfect condition, we will happily replace it if returned to us straightaway (the return address will be stamped on the back of the package). If you do find yourself with a damaged product, please send us an e-mail (click on 'Contact Us' on the website) to let us know you are returning it, and we will look out for it.
Although we take great care to ensure that the pictures you see on our website are as close a match as possible to the prints that you receive, there will always be a slight difference between the two as different media are used to produce them. Also, the set up and capability of individual computer monitors can vary. The resolution quality of the prints themselves is also far better than the image on the website. Despite this, we are confident that any difference between the website image and the actual print will be small.
